Arising Artists: Teens Term 2

-Thursday 3.45-4.45  (with a 15 minute grace til 5pm for those who need extra time!)
DATES:  (commencing week one of school – no class on Anzac Day)
APRIL 18, MAY2, MAY 9, MAY 16, MAY 23, MAY 30, JUNE 7, JUNE 14

There are 2 main projects this term –
*Print to Product where students will design and print a logo or design to products such as coffee cups, bags, packaging. This project is inspired by real world jobs an artist could do.
*  Textured Ceramic Sculptures. The sculptures can be functional or non functional and inspired by textures found in the natural environment – such as coral. They will need to consider how to use everyday objects (such as straws, pens, sticks, bottle tops or other recycled items) to create texture which is convincing.
*project focus may vary based on individual interests

The teens generally have 2 projects each term, with lots of opportunity for the creative play and skill growth in areas that interest them.

*Payment Plans are available. Please get in touch!*

Primary school Classes are also available, learn more here!

What makes us different?
This studio space is student led! Teens especially are beginning to know what interests them, and where they need to improve. With that in mind, each term is designed so that your artist will grow in their unique creative voice. This does mean that their individual projects may vary depending on their interests and areas they wish to grow in. Talk to Amber to discuss your child’s progress at any stage. I do incorporate  drawing skills every term as this underpins so much in art.

Throughout the year, your artist may have opportunity to learn with the following materials & the artists who are relevant to their developement

Painting (acrylic, mixed media and watercolour),
Drawing (pastels, charcoal, pencil, markers)
Bookmaking (zines, bound books)
Clay, (handbuilding or polymer clay)
Printmaking (drypoint, monoprinting, screen print, linoprint, cyanotypes)

Photography & Video
During the workshops I take plenty of snaps to capture those special ‘creative spark’ moments. On your arrival to the first class I will ask you if I can use any photographs/videos for marketing purposes (online and paper) and ask you to sign a photography release form. Names and ages and other personal details are confidential.

Cancellation Policy: Term Workshops
Please let me know if your child is unable to attend a lesson. Please do not come if you are unwell. I do try to catch your artist up in class.
